Date: Wed, 23 Nov 2005 18:14:13 +0100 From: Axel Brandenburg To: Dear all We have the pleasure of telling you that you have been *accepted* for the Nordic Winter School on Astrobiology in Finnish Lapland. All your expenses (within reasonable limits) will be covered by our budget. The simplest form of travel is to fly into Kittila, but one can also get there by train (to Rovaniemi) and the rest by bus. As advertised on the web page, the default accommodation is in a range of different cabins that we have already rented. From past experience we know that many of the students have enjoyed this a lot because of the added freedom. More about this in another email. The school will also cover all meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks in between. The detailed program will still be adjusted, but the basic framework is fixed. During the weekend there will be a skiing excursion, but those without skiis can also participate. Again, details will be fixed later. At this point, given that some of you had to wait for quite some time now, I'd like to ask all of you to let me know whether you are still willing to participate. Thanks, Axel Brandenburg
