Talk title: Expanding and Time Dependent Universes in String Theory
Abstract:
The observation of a small positive cosmological constant has
made it urgent for string theorists to understand the physics of
expanding and time dependent universes. In this talk I will summarize
the basic puzzles and recent developments in three areas: (a)
Universes with positive cosmological constants in string theory, (b)
space-time orbifolds and resolution of singularities localized in time,
and (c) decaying brane spacetimes.
