
Talk title: String interactions in a gravitational wave background
Abstract:
The aim of this talk is to present the covariant computation of three
and four point correlators in the Nappi-Witten gravitational wave.
Several features of string theory in a curved space-time become very
transparent in this simple model and the long string states as well as
their interactions can be studied in detail. I will also discuss the
world-sheet analogue of the Penrose limit, explaining how the operator
algebra of the NW model can be derived by contracting the operator
algebra of SU(2)xU(1).
